The region is known for its Cornish heritage and was home to a large number of mining families back in the late 1800s when copper was discovered.
The history is still preserved today through the local branches of National Trust and the Kernewek Lowender Cornish Festival.
Remains of the Cornish heritage continues to be evident including stone cottages, mine sites and engine houses throughout the area.
Please refer to the region pages to help guide you through and we hope you enjoy your stay in our beautiful region and take home some great memories.
